The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the John Denmark Unit, an 18-bed specialist acute and rehabilitation unit for deaf individuals. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and compassionate professional, possessing strong organisational and interpersonal skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health care. Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day occupational therapy services, conducting assessments for a designated caseload, and providing specialist input to a multidisciplinary team. The role also involves contributing to service development, evaluating clinical services, and supervising junior staff and students. A background in mental health, experience with conditions like depression or schizophrenia, and familiarity with deaf mental health care are preferred.
