Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the team on Ward 12 at North Tyneside Hospital, which specializes in the Care of the Elderly and consists of 23 beds. The ideal candidate should possess experience and a strong commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care while supporting a multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely patient discharges and transfers. The role involves delivering both direct and indirect patient care, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring a clean and safe ward environment, with a focus on flexibility as the position requires rotational day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities include assisting qualified nursing staff with patient assessments, basic nursing tasks such as hygiene and mobility support, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in patient condition. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the ward environment, while also being proactive in organizing their daily tasks under supervision.
