Lead and oversee a small friendly team, ensuring each member achieves their full potential and completes their tasks proficiently. Responsibilities include coaching, goal setting, task delegation, direction, conflict resolution, and acting as a liaison between the team and upper management to ensure timely task completion.
Add and amend rotas for all clinical staff in the practice and some PCN staff.
Monitor and plan appointment availability to ensure sufficient access daily, weekly, and monthly.
Maintain efficient surgery access across all clinical teams, ensuring full utilisation of capacity.
Manage locum staff bookings, including setting up rotas and accounts in clinical systems.
Develop timetables and conduct inductions for new staff, trainees, and students.
Ensure staff are equipped with up-to-date procedures and protocols.
Manage day-to-day operations of the access team.
Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals, and return-to-work interviews with staff.
Oversee clinics for seasonal events such as Flu and Covid vaccinations.
Act as the first point of contact for issues related to access, rotas, appointments, and timetables.
Assist the Central Services Manager, providing regular updates/MI.
