The Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Cardiology at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust will join the Cardiology Team at Warwick Hospital, utilizing advanced clinical skills and judgment to deliver high-quality patient care. The role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, conducting patient assessments in various settings including the Emergency Department and non-cardiology wards, and managing cardiology clinics. Additional responsibilities include participation in the on-call cardiology team, providing leadership in clinical governance, research, and service improvements, as well as engaging in training and education initiatives for staff and patients.

The position emphasises patient advocacy, holistic care, and innovative practice aimed at enhancing patient flow and outcomes. The practitioner is expected to manage their own caseload, implement personalized care pathways, and contribute to the development of cardiology services. Effective communication, collaboration with external services, and involvement in quality improvement projects are essential to ensure optimal patient care and seamless transitions between care settings. The role also requires participation in audit, research, and the mentorship of junior staff to foster professional development within the cardiology department.
