The King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Band 7 Specialist Dietitian to join their obesity and bariatric surgery team in London on a fixed-term basis. The ideal candidate should possess a strong clinical background in obesity management, along with effective leadership and operational skills. This role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive dietetic care primarily for patients on the bariatric surgery pathway, both pre and post-surgery, as well as potentially working with individuals undergoing obesity pharmacotherapy. Key responsibilities include managing a clinical caseload, offering expert advice within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety, maintaining accurate treatment records, and contributing to the development of care pathways.

Additionally, the role emphasises the importance of patient education and counseling, participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, and involvement in teaching opportunities for other healthcare professionals and student supervision. The successful candidate will also engage in research and audit activities, contribute to service evaluation, and work closely with catering departments to promote optimal nutrition for patients.
