Due to increasing demand and company expansion, we are recruiting to increase our clinical teams.

Autism 360 is part of the widely established ADHD 360 Ltd. We continue to expand our clinical team as we increase our remote private and NHS assessment offer throughout the UK and beyond. We are moving to a seven day service to maximise availability for those seeking an assessment. We are looking for responsive, compassionate and focused clinicians committed to serving and supporting the autistic community.

The Autism 360 team

You will be part of a growing team of highly experienced, dynamic autism professionals, comprising of nurses and allied health professionals. We are an organisation that cares, listens and wants to help. We pride ourselves on offering a high quality, time-efficient service.

We look beyond a diagnosis; we do not just focus upon identifying any diagnosis, but supporting the person to understand it for themselves through our range of aftercare options. The service supports professional development of its team members, with potential progression opportunities for the right team member.

We operate within a multidisciplinary team model, whilst empowering clinical decision making of each clinician. This provides a balance of support, collaboration and belonging.

PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for candidates already trained in the ADOS, rather than those looking to pursue training in this area.

The role:

We pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of those accessing the service. As such, the structure and duties of each day can vary to meet these needs.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Undertake skilled autism diagnostic assessments (ADOS and ADI-R).
  • Obtain detailed developmental history through clinical interview.
  • Evaluation of available evidence against diagnostic criteria.
  • Accurate and timely record keeping of all contacts and assessments.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) discussions and decision making.
  • Communicating the outcome of assessments with those accessing the service.
  • Develop defensible written reports, presenting complex information in a clear and accessible way.
  • Participate in post diagnostic webinars or other aftercare offers.
  • Work across a six day service, including some evenings.

Statement of job purpose:

The role will be to undertake structured autism assessments, and to contribute to wider multi-disciplinary team discussions around the presence of autism for those accessing the service.

The role will play a key function in the delivery of our aftercare service for those having received a positive diagnosis of autism.

Key responsibilities:

Clinical

  • To undertake skilled autism diagnostic assessments (ADOS and ADI-R) and obtain sufficient detailed developmental history through clinical interview to make a decision on diagnosis.
  • To operate as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to discussions, decision making and providing feedback as required.
  • To clearly communicate the outcome of assessments with those accessing the service, family members (where appropriate) and professionals, in written and verbal formats.
  • To develop defensible written reports or information resources, presenting complex information in a clear and accessible way.
  • To develop and participate in post diagnostic webinars.
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of other aftercare offers.
  • To write topical articles or discussion points for the Autism 360 website.
  • To maintain accurate, professional and timely records of all contacts and assessments undertaken.
  • To uphold the professional standards of Autism 360, the wider ADHD 360 LTD organisation and those of your own statutory body.
  • To attend relevant training and development in order to maintain and develop skills and knowledge required to support those accessing the service.
  • To maintain current knowledge of evidence base and good practice through engagement with variety of opportunities such as conferences, courses and meetings.
  • To maintain registration of your statutory body.

General / administration

  • To prepare for and participate in regular clinical and managerial supervision.
  • To carry out all administrative tasks reasonably associated with the nature of the role.
  • To adopt a supportive and constructive approach with others in the team.
  • To follow wider ADHD 360 LTD policies and procedures.
  • To undertake other duties as required to enhance the quality experience of those accessing the service.
  • To be responsible for your own health and safety, and maintain an effective home working environment.
