We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

This post would ideally suit an innovative team player who is able to work as an autonomous practitioner and enjoys a varied workload.

  • A minimum of 2 years post registration experience and a basic knowledge of diabetes gained from relevant role/ basic study and experience is ideal.
  • You should be able to demonstrate effective group facilitation and presentation skills. An understanding of training and development initiatives in diabetes would be desirable.
  • Qualification as a DAFNE educator, as well as experience in insulin pump therapy and CGMS are desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential. Additional training required for the post will be provided for the right candidate. Candidates prior experience will also be considered and pay grade adjusted depending on interview and evidence of experience.

  • managing a clinical caseload,
  • utilising expert skills in diabetes technologies and delivering various patient and health professional education sessions.
