The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering two Band 5 Paediatric Nurse positions in their Paediatric Emergency Department, available for either a 12-month or a 6-month fixed term or secondment. The role involves providing high-quality, holistic care to children and young people experiencing acute illness or injury. Responsibilities include assessing nursing needs, implementing care plans, treating minor injuries, and ensuring patient mobility within the department. The nurse will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, maintain accurate documentation, and promote the well-being and safeguarding of vulnerable groups.

Candidates must be adept at managing their workload in a dynamic environment, effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and demonstrating empathy in challenging situations. Additionally, the role requires adherence to NMC guidelines and Trust policies, ensuring the administration of care is conducted safely and professionally. The Paediatric Staff Nurse will also participate in discharge planning and health promotion initiatives, contributing to overall patient care within the department.
