The Mental Health Social Work Support Worker position at Oxford Health NHS Trust involves partnering with individuals who use mental health services to provide targeted support, particularly those living with severe mental health conditions. The role requires a strong empathy and relationship-building skills, as you will assist service users in regaining skills post-hospitalisation, develop social support groups, and promote independent living. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care and support packages, always prioritizing the individual's needs and dignity. Although the work can be challenging due to its nature, you will receive ample support from your colleagues and be part of a collaborative social work forum to share ideas and strategies.
