The Occupational Therapist Advanced Practitioner role at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust involves working in Ward S3, a specialized inpatient unit for individuals with severe eating disorders. As a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team, the practitioner will engage directly with service users, families, and carers to facilitate positive changes in managing eating disorders and enhancing quality of life. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions, managing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, and ensuring effective multi-disciplinary care planning and patient record accuracy.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills in addressing complex mental and physical health needs and will lead efforts to promote the role of occupational therapy within the service. This role offers opportunities for professional development, including participation in strategic forums and supervision from leadership within the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) framework. Additionally, the practitioner will provide expertise in occupational therapy assessments and interventions while fostering the relationship between occupation and health, ultimately driving the growth of occupational therapy's role in patient care.
