We are seeking a highly organised and proactiveAdministratorto support the smooth operation of our Stockton on Tees, Lawson Street Health Centre.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including reception work, back-office support, and managing incoming calls. You will also assist with direct patient contact and contribute to the effective running of the medical centre by maintaining efficient administrative systems and procedures. If you're detail-oriented and passionate about healthcare support, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Additionally, we offering an exciting opportunity for further development: Are you interested in completing your Care Certificate to expand your role into both Administration and Health Care Assistance? This would allow you to broaden your skills and play an even more active role in supporting patient care.

  • Greet and register patients, book appointments, and manage general inquiries at thereception desk.
  • Manage incoming callsfrom the call centre and take appropriate action.
  • Sendappointment remindersand processpostal test results.
  • Run reportsand ensurehigh standards of data qualityin the clinical system.
  • Book translatorsfor appointments and handle patient records.
  • Assist withfiling,distribution of mail, and handling ofpost.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for theAdministratorrole will possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration
  • Experience in a healthcare environment in an administrative capacity
  • Demonstrated interest in Business Administration and Health Care
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for document production
  • Clear communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone, with a diverse range of individuals
  • Flexible approach to work, including the willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development
  • Strong team player dedicated to continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of sexual health services
