The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust is offering a Specialist Pharmacist position focusing on developmental technical services, cancer, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) in Truro. This role presents a unique opportunity for pharmacists to enhance their skills in a supportive environment, working closely with the lead pharmacist in technical services, a specialist TPN technician, and the multidisciplinary nutrition team. The position entails a balanced mix of technical and clinical responsibilities, with opportunities for further postgraduate study, including independent prescribing.

The post-holder will collaborate extensively with a team of oncology and haematology professionals, ensuring that all chemotherapy prescriptions undergo thorough screening by a cancer pharmacist. Additionally, the pharmacist will play a crucial role in delivering pharmaceutical and clinical advice to the nutrition team and coordinating care for both inpatients and patients receiving TPN at home. This position emphasises teamwork and offers a valuable chance to contribute to patient care excellence within the NHS framework.
