The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a subspecialty interest in Glaucoma to join their team in Rochdale. This role involves cross-site working, primarily at Rochdale Infirmary for surgical activities and various outpatient clinics across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be part of a team comprising 10 Consultants, 4 Associate Specialists, 2 Specialty Doctors, and 5 Junior Clinical Fellows. The position offers 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) in line with the 2003 Consultant Contract. Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or eligible for registration within six months of the interview, or willing to complete a CESR within 12 months. The role emphasises leadership in ophthalmic subspecialty work, requiring a broad knowledge of Ophthalmology and specific expertise in Glaucoma.
