Working with the FREDIE lead the job holder will support with initiatives to drive the principles of FREDIE (fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement) throughout the business. Having a high level of communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others will enable the post holder to build relationships with key stakeholders, co-ordinate and facilitate meetings, training and engagement events and provide reports as required.
As the line manager for the administrative staff, the successful candidate will be required to have the skills to not only allocate work but also the ability to support and develop others. A knowledge of the Equality Act 2and a keen interest to support colleagues from minority and or marginalised groups will support the post holder to thrive within this role.
The post holder will be expected to work 22.5 hours per week, preferably over 3 days, however there may be a level of flexibility offered should this be required.
Main duties of the Job Leading on FREDIE related projects requires the post holder to have good planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
This is a new role which is expected to grow over the coming months and years as the Equality agenda grows. Initially the post holder will support with Championing FREDIE and operationalising it across the company, overseeing and developing the current staff network groups, co-ordinating engagement events and line management of the administrative staff.
