The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer to join the Breast Department's secretarial team in North Shields. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clerical and secretarial support to Consultants and the wider team, including transcribing clinical documentation through the Trust's digital dictation system and potentially stepping in as Team Secretary during periods of leave. Ideal candidates should possess excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Familiarity with IT packages and OCR/RSA III typewriting or equivalent experience is advantageous.

In this role, the Clerical Officer will assist in the efficient operation of sub-specialty offices, which includes tasks such as typing, filing, retrieving, scanning and storing electronic patient records, as well as handling postal and telephone inquiries. The officer may also provide coverage for other clerical roles within the team as needed.
