Oxfordshire Talking Therapies is looking for a dedicatedCommunity Development and Engagement Worker to join our team and help break down the barriers to mental health support for those who need it most.
In this exciting role, you'll work with hard-to-reach communities across Oxfordshire, helping to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. You will support individuals in accessing mental health services and work with community leaders to promote inclusive services that reflect the diverse needs of the community.
The aim is to promote the work of Oxfordshire Talking Therapies and encourage members of diverse communities to refer themselves to the service. Focusing on the hard-to-reach groups, they will ensure that their specific needs are understood and taken into account of, in the co-production and design of the service so that high levels of coverage and uptake are achieved across all sectors of the community.
This non-clinical role requires you to have a good understanding of the theoretical basis around how to address the health inequalities that disproportionately impact disadvantaged ethnic minority communities, older adults, and other groups.
