The role of Clinical or Counselling Psychologist at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust in Hull involves working primarily at the Westlands female unit, within a supportive psychology hub. The psychologist will be responsible for assessing patient needs and risks, formulating care plans with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), and delivering specialized psychological interventions. Additionally, the position includes supervising doctoral trainees and assistants, providing clinical leadership, and engaging in continuous professional development (CPD) activities, including training and reflective practice groups.

In this position, the psychologist will also shadow and potentially deputize for the Principal Psychologist, represent psychology in relevant meetings, and coordinate with community and inpatient colleagues to ensure cohesive patient care. The Trust encourages participation in CPD forums and offers robust support through clinical, professional, and managerial supervision.
