The Junior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery role at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers a dynamic opportunity for motivated individuals to develop skills in managing acute and elective adult neurosurgical patients. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, engaging in patient assessments, ward management, and supporting theatre activities. Responsibilities also include attending outpatient clinics, participating in teaching sessions like journal clubs, and involvement in audit and research projects.

The position requires the candidate to manage ward duties, oversee acute admissions, and contribute to operating theatres while partaking in morning meetings and ward rounds. Candidates are expected to maintain accurate patient records, ensure timely discharge documentation, and engage in teaching medical students and junior doctors. Each fellow will have a Clinical and Educational Supervisor to guide their professional development and support their portfolio management aligned with their career goals.
