The Clinical Fellow ST1/2 Equivalent in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a full-time role that involves collaboration within a team and close cooperation with various medical professionals, including consultants, junior doctors, nursing staff, and physiotherapy personnel. The Fellow will work across both the Wigan acute site and Wrightington elective site, participate in out-patient clinics, ward rounds, and trauma theatre sessions, while also being part of a busy on-call rota.

This fixed-term position, established to support the on-call Senior House Officer (SHO) rota until August 2025, includes responsibilities such as managing inpatients, attending medical audit meetings, and ensuring accurate medical record-keeping. The role is pivotal in facilitating cross-disciplinary teamwork and contributing to the overall functioning of the Orthopaedic department.
