As a Senior Healthcare Technical Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of vital blood, blood products and tissues to hospitals in the South East. Acting as the first point of contact for hospital requests, your responsibilities will include processing and dispatching orders, performing "pick and pack" tasks, and managing inventory. You will also monitor storage conditions, maintain equipment, and support the smooth running of the healthcare supply chain. Order Fulfilment and Picking/Packing: Accurately pick and pack blood and related products for hospital orders, ensuring all items are properly prepared and labelled for dispatch. Manual Handling and Equipment Use: Safely handle equipment and supplies, with or without mechanical aids, in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Shift Work: Work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as part of a 24/7 shift pattern to ensure constant supply chain support. This is a 37.5-hour post, operating on a 24/7 shift-based pattern covering days, evenings, nights, and public holidays, with some lone working. The role follows an 8-week shift pattern and requires participation in an on-call rota.
A recruitment and retention payment: 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum of £1,258 and a maximum of £2,122.
