The Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced senior nurse leader to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADN) in the medicine leadership team, focusing on areas such as Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine. This initial fixed-term position, lasting three months, requires immediate availability, with a start date by early December. The ADN will collaborate closely with the Head of Operations and Clinical Directors, overseeing performance metrics related to quality, safety, finance, and clinical effectiveness, while managing a team of Matrons across various wards and departments.

Key responsibilities include senior clinical leadership, daily operational support, budget management, and governance oversight, including handling complaints, incidents, and risk management. The successful candidate will also take on the role of representative for medicine nursing teams, with a delegated responsibility for the Divisional Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to lead, innovate, and improve care within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
