Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Band 3 Health Care Assistants to join their team across four urgent care sites in Liverpool: Garston UTC, Old Swan UTC, City WIC, and Smithdown WIC. The role involves providing high-quality and effective patient care within a service operating daily from 8am to 8pm, including bank holidays. Successful candidates will support clinicians in triage, manage stock control, perform venepuncture, and provide basic wound care, with the expectation of flexibility to work across different sites as needed.

The position emphasises the development of skills and competencies in patient care, requiring a problem-solving approach. One specific vacancy is at the Smithdown Walk-in Centre, which serves only paediatric patients. Shortlisting for candidates is set for July 11, with interviews on July 15.

The UTC/WIC's across Liverpool have opportunities for band 3 Health Care Assistants to work as part of the team.

The vacancies are across the 4 sites - Garston UTC, Old Swan UTC, City WIC and Smithdown WIC. The service is open 8am-8pm every day including bank holidays.

You will work as part of a team ensuring patients receive high quality, safe, effective care.

The successful candidates will be based within one of the sites but there is an expectation they may be asked to support in the other sites for periods of time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinicians in triage, ensuring stock is available and ordered in a timely manner, carrying out venepuncture, and basic wound care. They will support patients who access the service.

One of the vacancies is for Smithdown Walk-in Centre which is a paediatric only site.
