Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Medical Secretary to join the administrative team in the Colorectal Department at North Tyneside General Hospital. The role, which is full-time Monday through Friday, involves providing essential secretarial support to Colorectal Consultants and broader clinical teams. Key responsibilities include managing diaries, arranging and minuting meetings, transcription of clinical documents, and facilitating patient journeys while adhering to strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with proficiency in IT applications.

Candidates should have previous secretarial experience, with knowledge of healthcare environments being advantageous, as well as familiarity with software systems such as G2 and PAS. The successful applicant will be responsible for resource management, support training new staff, and may act as a temporary lead secretary in the absence of senior staff.
