The Christie NHS FT in Manchester is offering a Band 4 Trainee Integrated Therapist (TInT) position within their Complementary Health & Wellbeing (CH&W) team. This role is geared towards individuals with at least one year of massage experience who are interested in developing skills in oncology therapy. The 12-month training program combines academic and practical learning, involving 15 hours of training per week, and will focus on supporting patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and coping with symptoms related to their conditions.

Key responsibilities include delivering compassionate care, assisting with clinical tasks, supporting patient needs through various therapies, and engaging in reflective practice. The trainee will gradually manage a caseload of up to five patients and will gain experience in person-centered care.

Upon completion of the training, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to join the CH&W team as a Band 5 therapist or pursue private practice. The role emphasises education, team collaboration, adherence to NHS values, and effective communication. Candidates should be proactive, empathetic, and possess strong organisational skills while maintaining professionalism in challenging environments. Regular evaluations and continuous professional development will be integral to the role.
