We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet. What you can expect in return

You will be an integral part of a passionate team helping to provide meals for our patients and to insure they feel that they are receiving a high quality experience. Providing an efficient, high quality dedicated food and beverage service. The post holder must operate in line with clearly defined standards and in compliance with policies and procedures. You will be involved in all aspects of food and beverage service to patients at all times whilst on duty.

You will serve meals to inpatients and audit the completion of a nutritional intake sheet for each and every meal provided.

You will need to inform staff of any patient who has refused or not eaten much of their meal for onward management.

You will act on any patient dietary requests for additional/alternative food or beverages requirements reporting any difficulty to the Head or second Chef for onward management and also report any patient dissatisfaction regarding catering service to the Head or Second Chef for onward management.

Regeneration of chilled/frozen food and preparation of sauces Plating and service of cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients, including service of condiments. Probing and recording food temperatures. Recording of equipment temperatures. Beverage service to patients, washing and refilling of patient's water jugs and beakers.to take the patient orders and communicating the requirements to the catering department.
