The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ICP Chief Pharmacist in Guildford, an essential leadership role focused on the strategic development and optimisation of Pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background and extensive experience in high-quality pharmacy service delivery, capable of representing the Trust across various levels and sectors. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of Medicines Management, leading the implementation of a new Aseptics unit, and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards. The role also involves managing a large team, contributing to a significant modernisation effort within the Pharmacy department, and collaborating closely with primary and secondary care partners.

The ICP Chief Pharmacist will be accountable for delivering safe and efficient pharmacy and medicines management services while providing expert advice on the safe use of medications. This position plays a crucial role in the Trust's strategic plan and ongoing initiatives to improve patient outcomes through enhanced pharmacy services, including electronic prescribing and adherence to statutory requirements. The successful candidate will work within a supportive acute Pharmacy team, committed to integrating services across Surrey Heartlands and maintaining high standards of medication safety and quality.
