The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time (30 hours) Macmillan Acute Oncology Co-ordinator to join their team at The Royal Oldham Hospital. This role involves coordinating the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) under the supervision of the Macmillan Acute Oncology Nurses, providing support across a 7-day service to patients with acute oncology presentations at multiple hospitals. The Co-ordinator will be responsible for administrative and clerical tasks, including organizing team meetings, taking minutes, and serving as the primary contact for patients and relatives accessing the service, ensuring appropriate communication and signposting in emergency situations.

Key responsibilities include managing patient inquiries, facilitating the flow of information to the nursing staff, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the team. The position emphasises personal and professional development, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care for oncology patients within the trust's hospitals.
