The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Qualified or Trainee Trauma and Orthopaedic (T&O) Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) to join their dedicated team in Worthing. This role involves participating in the management of Trauma and Orthopaedic patients both in inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in surgeries as a first or second assistant, and eventually performing procedures independently under consultant supervision. The successful candidate will participate in daily ward rounds, coordinate care plans, and support the surgical team in both pre-operative assessments and post-operative wound management.

The position is geared towards those who have completed or are working towards a Master's level program in Surgical Care Practice, which is fully funded by the Trust. Essential skills for this role include effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to providing compassionate patient care. The SCP will also contribute to continuous professional development, engage in audits, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of practice.
