 PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

This is an exciting Salaried GP role available in the friendly town of Hailsham in East Sussex commutable from Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne, and Brighton. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate willing to work for 2-4 clinical sessions per week across Monday and Tuesday.

Start Date: 20.03.25

To support and work alongside the GP Partner and clinical team who deal with all the acute/on-the-day patients including triage. This role includes assessment, diagnosis and treatment of these patients who present with undiagnosed conditions.

The post holder will provide and maintain a high standard of care for patients as well as providing support to the GP partners and other members of the primary health care team.

  • 2-4 clinical sessions
  • Training in Diabetes or a Specialist interest in this area would be a desirable skill for this role

Youll collaborate with Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, First Contact Practitioners, Care Coordinators, Nursing Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Provide high-quality care as an autonomous GP in primary care settings, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records and handle necessary paperwork through the EMIS clinical system, ensuring timely communication with other healthcare providers.
  • Patient & Colleague Support: Offer expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, upholding clinical excellence and safety.
  • Disease Management: Contribute to chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) according to evidence-based practices and assist in developing patient-centered care plans.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Experience in a primary care environment
  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • Understanding of primary care contracts and medicines management
  • Familiarity with Integrated Care Board (ICB) initiatives (preferred)
