This is a part time Reception Team Lead role, hours to be agreed. Our core opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-18:30. Cover until 18:30 is required.
We are looking a Reception Team Lead to lead our busy reception team and who will strive to ensure our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice. You will deal with patients both face to face, over the telephone and via email. Leading a large reception team to work in line with the required standards,

Overtime is available to cover leave & absence and we ask all staff to help with this where possible.
To assist with the smooth and efficient running of reception in a pleasant and courteous manner including leading the Reception team. We have 18 receptionists in total working across two sites. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. To support the reception team in a busy environment. To problem solve as and when required.
To co-ordinate between the reception team, patients & The Management Team and Partners.
To maintain accurate and timely computerised data.
To keep the Practice premises to the quality and safety standards agreed.
Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the reception team lead. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The reception team lead is responsible for supervising and supporting the reception team & working with the Reception Manager, ensuring they achieve their primary responsibilities.

Promote a positive attitude within the reception team

Helping with NHS App queries. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
Signpost patients to the correct service
Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Carry out system searches as requested
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
