The role of Ward Clerk (XN02) at Leeds Teaching Hospitals involves providing crucial administrative support in the busy acute oncology assessment unit (J95) and admissions ward (J96). The Ward Clerk will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with their admission and discharge processes, recording patient activity data, and facilitating communication among the nursing team and other departments. Key responsibilities include managing patient records, arranging follow-up appointments and transport, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is readily available to maintain an efficient workflow within the ward.

In this challenging yet rewarding position, the Ward Clerk will also participate in nursing huddles, help maintain a high standard of patient care, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
