Band 7: £43,742 to £50,056 a year per annum pro rata  SECONDMENT 
The role will work closely with the Clinical Team Leader at John Eastwood Hospice and benefit from the support of a Band 6 Ward Leader.

In addition to the duties outlined above and in the job description, this role will also deliver:All aspects of human resource management including roster oversight, sickness, disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Be the first line of contact for GPs and Primary Care ensuring positive relationships are developed and concerns dealt with immediately within the primary care footprint.

Oversight of the day to day flow of the unit providing operational direction to the senior nursing team and medical staff.

The post holder will lead the vision for developing inpatient specialist palliative care services as the Hospice goes through a period of change and ongoing expansion of services.

To use evidence based practice and own skills and knowledge to introduce improvements and support staff training and development.

To undertake and critically analyse audits and provide management of incidents, clinical governance, staff development and assurance for the inpatient unit.

The post will also have a key role in maintaining the relationship between Notts Healthcare and the Hospice Charitable Trust and promoting opportunities to fundraise and support the charity.

Based at Bassetlaw Hospice in Retford you will lead the clinical teams working across the service. This includes the day to day oversight for all clinical staff working within the inpatient unit and day services and overall responsibility for the safe running of the unit.
