The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to respecting diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds while delivering tailored spiritual care. You will also engage in community outreach and promote open discussions surrounding death and end-of-life care. Hours:18.5 hours across the working week (Monday to Friday). Hours can be flexible but must meet the needs of the service.

Join our team as a Spiritual Care Practitioner, where youll play a vital role in delivering spiritual care that respects all faiths, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. At Ashgate Hospice, we believe that every individual should have the opportunity to explore and express their spirituality in a supportive, inclusive environment. As part of our dedicated team, youll provide spiritual care to patients and their families in our inpatient unit, day services, and the wider North Derbyshire community. You will assess spiritual needs, participate in care planning, and guide meaningful conversations about hope, meaning, and belief.
As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, specialising in hospice care, you will play a vital role in delivering the service by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families at every stage of care. You will offer expert advice on spiritual, religious, and cultural beliefs, participate in community outreach activities, promote open conversations about death and end-of-life care whilst developing a spiritual care service that is tailored to support the spiritual needs and values of all patients and their family. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, open-minded, and motivated to create a compassionate, responsive spiritual care service.
