The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Medical Microbiologist to provide clinical microbiology services primarily at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, with responsibilities extending across the Eastern Pathology Alliance network of acute Trusts in Norfolk. The role involves delivering a comprehensive microbiology service, participating in infection prevention and control, and antibiotic stewardship, along with providing consultation and advisory services to medical colleagues and primary care professionals. The position includes an out-of-hours on-call service and opportunities for professional development through the Royal College of Pathologists.

The successful candidate will receive a £5,000 welcome bonus and will need to hold full GMC registration with a license to practice. Job planning will be conducted collaboratively between the Trusts to accommodate the necessary cross-cover and ensure effective service delivery.
