Applications are invited for a part time (0.4 WTE) Locum Consultant Oral Surgeon,with the potential to transition to a permanent role (subject to the successful interview), to replace a leaving colleague. This post is based in the Dental & Maxillofacial Department at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, Surrey.
The Oral Surgery department at East Surrey Hospital (built in 2has dedicated facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of adult and paediatric patients requiring dental alveolar surgery. The oral surgery service is a consultant led service providing treatment under LA, IV & GA at East Surrey Hospital and Crawly Hospital.
The successful applicant will be joining a supportive team of a part-time Consultant Oral Surgeon, 2 Oral Surgery specialist trainees and 2 Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery. The appointee will provide a comprehensive oral surgery service for the local population, working alongside other consultant and senior clinicians in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry, and Orthodontics to provide advice and treatment for complex multidisciplinary cases within the department.
Applicants must be fully registered and be on the oral surgery specialist register (or be eligible within six months of the interview date) with the General Dental Council and hold Membership in Oral Surgery (MOralSurg) or equivalent.
