The NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board is seeking a People and Inclusion Manager to join their HR team in Chippenham. This newly created role focuses on advancing the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) agenda within the organisation and its partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic EDI initiatives, ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duties, and engaging with various stakeholders to enhance the experiences of diverse groups. The role also involves project management, reporting, and actively contributing to system-wide EDI efforts, including leadership on key action plans and workforce demographic reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage with individuals at all levels compassionately, and will play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive work environment. We are currently recruiting a People & Inclusion Manager to join our friendly HR team. This is a newly created role that will work closely with our freedom to speak up guardian, the wider organisation, and our system partners. You will be a subject matter expert on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda, with a proven ability to engage at all levels in a compassionate and engaging manner.

You will be joining an organisation that is committed to being anti-racist, inclusive, and diverse and you will play a vital role in helping us design and deliver the strategic and operation EDI programme. The role will include project management and collating information which you will share through reports and presentation in several forums and meetings. This role will also ensure we meet our obligations under the Equality Act2and the Public SectorEqualityDuties, whilst leading work both strategically and operationally in implementing the EDI plan and the 6 high impact actions.

The role will work on developing key relationships and engaging with communities and stakeholders to improve the experience of diverse groups that work within our organisation and wider system.

About us
The post is a system wide role working with BSW partners across health, care and theVSCE sector and the internal ICB organisation. The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions, and advise colleagueson equality, diversity, and inclusion across all system partners and the BSW ICB. Thisactivity would include leadership and oversight of the NHSE EDI High Impact Action plan,Equality Delivery System, gender pay gap and wider EDI demographic workforce reportingsuch as WRES and WDES.
