The role of Dermatology CNS/Skin Cancer CNS at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Winchester and Basingstoke involves delivering advanced specialist nursing services for patients diagnosed with skin cancer. The nurse will provide expertise in managing dermatological skin surgery, offering comprehensive support to patients and their caregivers both pre and post-operatively. They will operate autonomously, conducting nurse-led clinics for skin cancer surveillance, performing excision and wound closure of potential skin cancer lesions, and managing a caseload effectively while collaborating as a key member of the Skin Cancer MDT.

In addition to clinical care and patient reviews, the nurse will facilitate individualized care plans based on thorough assessments and investigations. They will ensure timely patient consultations in accordance with healthcare targets, and provide research-based expert advice to healthcare colleagues. The position is flexible, welcoming requests for part-time work, and emphasises high-quality care and patient management within a multidisciplinary team.
