The role of the Highly Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in London involves providing expert podiatry treatment for patients with lower limb complaints within the Greenwich community. This position is part of the MSK team where the podiatrist collaborates with physiotherapists to create comprehensive musculoskeletal treatment plans, utilizing various advanced modalities such as shockwave therapy, gait analysis, and custom orthotics. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, engaging in clinical audits, undertaking education for junior staff, and maintaining high standards in clinical documentation and patient care.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role includes managing health and safety standards within the work environment, participating in team training, and adhering to the Trust's policies. The position requires the ability to work autonomously, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role may involve Saturday work on a rotating basis and focuses on promoting a philosophy of care that supports patient education and self-management for improved health outcomes.
