The Mental Health Practitioner (LD Nurse) position at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is a permanent, full-time role within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team. The practitioner will engage with children and young people with learning disabilities and their families, supporting assessment and implementation of complex mental health interventions under the supervision of experienced clinicians. Responsibilities include liaising with external agencies, acting as a key worker, carrying out evaluations in line with trust policies, and promoting service user participation through various engagement activities.

The role requires maintaining accurate patient records, escalating risk or safeguarding concerns, providing community-based support, and developing positive relationships with clients to enhance their social and emotional development. Flexibility and the ability to identify and connect young people with local resources and activities are essential. The practitioner will participate in team meetings and regular supervision, ensuring effective collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.
