Job description
The Nursing Associate Ambassador role, based within the South East London Workforce Development Hub, is integral to advancing the Nursing Associate profession and supporting its integration into primary care. This role focuses on promoting the profession, supporting student and qualified Nursing Associates, and enhancing workforce capacity through innovative education and development strategies.
Act as a champion for the Nursing Associate profession across South East London, advocating for its value in primary care.
Represent the SEL WDH in events, workshops, and meetings to promote the role and its benefits, where necessary
Collaborate with employers, training providers, and other stakeholders to drive awareness and uptake of Nursing Associate roles.
Serve as a contact for Student Nursing Associates within South East London primary care, offering guidance and mentorship,
Identify gaps in workforce planning and support the development of strategies to embed Nursing Associates into primary care teams.
Provide resources, training, and support to employers to integrate Nursing Associates effectively into their workforce.
Student Nursing Associate progression advice to GPN Fundamentals programme Education and Training
Support the delivery of clinical and professional development sessions for student and qualified Nursing Associates.
Running support/practice OSCE training for Student Nursing Associates
Develop bespoke training resources and tools to enhance learning and professional growth.
Facilitate networking opportunities for Nursing Associates and students to share experiences, challenges, and solutions.
Promote adherence to the NMC Code of Practice and professional standards for Nursing Associates.
Support Nursing Associates with their professional development and revalidation processes
Champion continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

This role focuses on promoting the profession, supporting student and qualified Nursing Associates, and enhancing workforce capacity through innovative education and development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy and Promotion
Act as a champion for the Nursing Associate profession across South East London, advocating for its value in primary care.
Represent the South East London Workforce Development Hub in events, workshops, and meetings to promote the role and its benefits, where necessary
Collaborate with employers, training providers, and other stakeholders to drive awareness and uptake of Nursing Associate roles.
Student Nursing Associate Support
Serve as a contact for Student Nursing Associates within South East London primary care, offering guidance and mentorship,
Support the planning and coordination of high-quality placements in primary care,
Facilitate feedback sessions and action plans to address placement challenges and enhance the student experience.
Workforce Development
Identify gaps in workforce planning and support the development of strategies to embed Nursing Associates into primary care teams.
Provide resources, training, and support to employers to integrate Nursing Associates effectively into their workforce.
Student Nursing Associate progression advice to GPN Fundamentals programme
Education and Training

Promote adherence to the NMC Code of Practice and professional standards for Nursing Associates.
Support Nursing Associates with their professional development and revalidation processes.
Champion continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Essential Skills and Attributes
Registered Nursing Associate with the NMC working within South East London primary care
Deep understanding of the Nursing Associate role and its scope of practice in primary care.
Strong organisational and coordination skills,
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a passion for mentoring and inspiring others.
Experience in education, training, or workforce development is desirable.
Knowledge of the primary care landscape and multidisciplinary teamworking within South East London.
