Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year  PERMANENT

The CEDU manager post is 37.5 hours, with a requirement to work Saturdays and Sundays as and when required. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new skills and to offer a vital service to all clinical areas.

Managing/leading teams and implementing Quality standards or experience working in a managerial environment/capacity would be an advantage.

The unit is open from 7am until 8pm Monday to Friday and will require flexibility in working between these hours with Saturday / Sunday working as part of the rota.

In return you will lead a team of decontamination technicians providing an excellent service of decontaminated Flexible scopes for very busy clinics and our patients. The successful applicant will be expected to function under pressure providing high quality service to all Procedures rooms, CCU, theatres, Wards & Departments. They will maintain the BSI accreditation and a Tracking system ensuring the highest possible standards. They will be expected to manually process and test Flexible scopes alongside their team (manual dexterity is required on these types of medical devices), operate endoscopy washer disinfector machines, use a software tracking system, undertake physical exertion such as prolong standing some bending/lifting and deliver clean scopes to clinical areas using storage cabinets.

Understanding the importance of excellent customer service and team working you will have experience in coordinating urgent deadlines with the ability to solve issues as and when they arise. Have well developed interpersonal/influencing skills, being enthusiastic and self-motivated. You will communicate regularly with clinical colleagues and be a good ambassador by demonstrating Trust values at all times, showing empathy and respecting confidentiality.
