The Lead Outpatient Pharmacist at QE Facilities in Gateshead is responsible for supporting the Head of Pharmacy by ensuring that regulatory standards are adhered to while promoting the development of Outpatient Dispensary (OPD) and Homecare services. This role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy services, coordinating daily pharmacy activities, overseeing complaints and incidents investigations, and ensuring compliance through governance checks. The Lead Pharmacist will also participate in recruitment, train new team members, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Lead Pharmacist will serve as a link between staff and the Superintendent Pharmacist, ensuring that any issues are reported and addressed appropriately. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage team dynamics, promote a culture of safety and learning, and align with the overall objectives of QE Facilities Pharmacy. The ideal candidate must be a GPhC registered pharmacist with a commitment to upholding legal and regulatory standards while fostering a supportive and efficient working environment.
