The East of England Ambulance Service is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistants (Relief) in Bedford to transport frail or specialist patients to appointments at various health facilities. Candidates should possess caregiving experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and ideally have local area knowledge. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role involves working both in pairs and independently using various vehicle types, alongside night shifts.

Successful applicants will undergo a three-week paid training course covering clinical skills and patient transport driving, with a full uniform provided. A valid UK manual driving license with at least one year of experience is required, and candidates must commit to the training schedule while adhering to essential criteria outlined in the person specification.
