Job description
The Laurels Surgery is looking for an experienced practice nurse, on a part time basis for 30 hours per week, who is competent and confident in carrying out annual reviews for patients with long term conditions, including asthma, COPD and particularly diabetes.
- Managing and treating long-term conditions, in line with national or local policies and practice needs.
- Supporting and managing the health needs of women presenting for sexual health, contraception, and cervical cytology consultations.
- Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults/children.
- Providing wound care including removal of stitches or staples, dressings and compression-dressings.
- Running asthma, COPD, diabetes clinics and reviews.
