There is a vacancy for a Trauma and Orthopaedic Practitioner to join our motivated and busy Plaster Team at both the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, Wales. You will be working alongside the Trauma and Orthopaedic team of consultants in this busy department.

We provide a Monday to Friday service for adults and children following their admission to either the Emergency Department or the Minor Injuries Unit. We also provide a Plaster service to our inpatient Trauma Wards . The role would also include providing advice and support to the Emergency Department and Operating Theatres. The clinic coordinate a mixture of Fracture and Orthopaedic during the week.

Applicants will need to be able to act independently within the UHB and professional guidelines, referring to supervisory sister/charge nurse as appropriate.

The post holder may be required to work across other sites within CTM.

Applicants will need to have a clear vision for best practice and evidence of decision-making and Organisational skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
