This is a wonderful opportunity to join our supportive team at NMGH - we are digitally advanced with our Hive EPR system across the Trust, and we offer the benefits of working in a large Trust whilst offering the friendly familiarity of a smaller hospital site.
You will work on a rotational basis across a range of clinical specialties, including opportunities in infectious diseases, critical care, paediatrics and neonatology, frailty and intermediate care, obstetrics and gynaecology, acute medicine, cardiology, respiratory, surgery and orthopaedics. You will also have the opportunity to spend time within the medicines information and antimicrobial stewardship teams. We offer a variety of education and development opportunities, from weekly learning at lunch sessions to supporting staff with postgraduate qualifications such as non-medical prescribing in accordance with the needs of the service.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality pharmacy service to allocated clinical areas, ensuring timely and accurate medicines reconciliation on admission, ongoing inpatient monitoring and review in accordance with agreed acuity and complexity requirements, and optimising medications to deliver a safe and appropriate discharge service to patients. They will be expected to actively participate in organisational medicines safety and risk management initiatives, including audit and incident reporting.
The post holder will also be involved in supporting the wider multidisciplinary team in the safe and effective use of medicines, and the promotion of the pharmacy service across the site.
