The 306 North London NHS Foundation Trust is looking to hire Band 3 Healthcare Assistants for their Dementia Older Adult ward at Chase Farm Hospital. Successful candidates will be integral members of the ward nursing team, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to assess and deliver tailored care. Responsibilities include supporting named nurses in developing and implementing individual care plans, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring ongoing monitoring of patients' care needs.

In addition to clinical tasks, Healthcare Assistants are expected to encourage patients to engage with ward facilities and therapeutic activities, assist with personal care and nutritional support, and accompany patients to external appointments as necessary. The role also emphasises the importance of respecting the cultural, social, and emotional needs of patients and their families, maintaining safety standards, and appropriately handling patient records and property. Effective communication and relationship-building with patients, relatives, and healthcare staff are vital components of this position.
