Band 3: £24,433 to £26,060 a year per annum pro rata  BANK 

The bank worker will work as a member of the Primary Care Nursing Team under the direction of the lead nurse.

The Health Care Support Worker will support Registered Nurses, General Practitioners and other health care professionals in the assessment, treatment and management of patients presenting in primary care settings.

The health care support worker will work as part of the nursing team within standard operating procedures, and Registered Nurses and General Practitioners are available for reference.

The bank worker will assist with specified delegated clinical tasks that include the provision and monitoring of Chronic Disease management providing a caring, patient focused service at all times.

The bank worker will deal with queries from patients, Health Care professionals and other agencies face to face and by telephone. The role will also involve administration and clerical duties including updating patient records on the computer system.

Carry out delegated clinical duties within HMP & YOI Parc.

Undertake Phlebotomy clinics and dry blood spot testing.

To perform physiological measurements such as blood pressure monitoring, pulse monitoring, waist circumference measurement, weight monitoring.

Providing any necessary Health Promotion advice to patients and carers e.g. Smoking Cessation, Weight Management Support, Alcohol Consumption.

Undertake Spirometry testing, and record result in patient information.

Undertake ECG monitoring.

To participate in the administration of immunisations under a Patient Specific Directive following a period of training i.e. B12, influenza and pneumococcal injections.

To perform basic wound management under the supervision of a Registered Nurse following appropriate training and assessment.
