The "Sister Cardiac Arrest Prevention Team" role at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust involves delivering cardiac arrest prevention and resuscitation training across the organisation. The post holder will collaborate with senior staff to implement a comprehensive strategy, ensuring high-quality resuscitation care and actively participating in managing cardiac arrest incidents. Responsibilities include developing training programs, conducting audits, identifying clinical risks, and providing expert support on cardiac arrest issues. The role also entails supporting junior team members, engaging in governance and quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to policy development and review based on evidence-based practices.

Additionally, the post holder will assist in the follow-up processes for cardiac arrest cases, complete mortality reviews, and ensure timely reviews of unexpected deaths. They are expected to maintain nursing practice standards in alignment with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's guidelines and to work clinically as required. The position requires regular collaboration with various departments to assess training needs and deliver training portfolios for all staff levels, ultimately aiming to enhance organisational responses to cardiac arrest situations.
