The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join their team at Good Hope Hospital, part of a planned expansion of services. This role includes responsibilities for outpatient care, endoscopy sessions, and inpatient care, operating under a 7-day consultant of the week model. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop subspeciality interests in areas such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology, and Interventional Endoscopy, while also engaging in undergraduate and postgraduate education and research.

Candidates are expected to contribute to providing a high-quality gastroenterology service, participate in the acute gastroenterology ward rota, and assist in managing the emergency GI bleed service. With a strong focus on clinical excellence, the Trust values a collaborative environment and supports ongoing professional development. Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on departmental needs, ensuring the candidate can effectively contribute to high standards of patient care while feeling appreciated and valued within the team.
